Mealworms are shipped in a breathable cloth container. They are provided soft egg cartons to crawl and munch on while in transit.
Our mealworms are raised in a clean and controlled environment, ensuring they are healthy and free from pesticides or harmful chemicals. We feed them a nutritious diet of wheat bran, bread, and potatoes to maximize their nutritional value.

Shipping:
We ship on Monday and Thursday and prefer USPS Priority Mail, Hold for Pickup. Live guarantee requires a post office hold. No wheat bran is shipped with the mealworms. They are shipped in a breathable cloth mesh bag and egg cartons.

Care:
Once you receive your mealworms, place them in the container with wheat bran or oats. To ensure they stay hydrated, add a few small slices of raw potato or carrot on top of the bran. Then, place the container in your refrigerator, ideally between 45-50°F (around 7-10°C). This cool temperature will significantly slow their metabolism, keeping them in the larval stage and preventing them from turning into pupae and then beetles. To keep them healthy, take the container out once a week and allow the mealworms to warm up to room temperature for a few hours. During this time, provide fresh slices of potato or carrot for them to eat. After they've had a chance to feed and hydrate, remove any uneaten food and return them to the refrigerator. Following these steps will help you keep your mealworms alive and ready to feed out slowly over several weeks.
